Thursday, February 21, 2008

DLS Alumnus Jerry Zaccardelli, '75, has been selected as a distinguished guest to visit troops aboard the Aircraft Carrier Theodore Roosevelt, March 2 - 4. "Zack" is one of 12 from the Detroit area who will be visiting service men and women, showing community support and good wishes. Zack will be flying onto the carrier, and then stay the night, observing full flight-deck operations.
Shown above is a banner signed by DLS students and faculty members who are all veterans of the U.S. Army. Zack will be bringing the banner and presenting it to the troops, along with other items he's collected, including phone cards, gift cards, and other personal items.
