NHS Service at Habitat for Humanity

Thirteen DLS seniors, along with faculty member Mrs. Traci Smith and counselor Mr. Dominic Reid, spent Tuesday, Jan. 19, at the Habitat for Humanity “ReStore” in Mt. Clemens.

ReStore provides a variety of housewares for families moving into a Habitat for Humanity home.

The day was a service project for seniors in the DLS National Honor Society.

Working at the store were Zach Cichon, Nick Dobreff, Mario Fusciardi, Joey Hallman, Nick Hankes, David Jimenez, Hoatian Li, Mike Nickolas, Anthony Pirrone, Colin Roach, Nick Scott, Alex Stoyka, and Alex Yeiser.

Mrs. Smith said, “Our students exemplified the LaSallian spirit as we served at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. They worked diligently to clean and organize the space. The manager stated that we were one of the best groups he had seen.”
