Piwinski Repeats County High Jump Championship

The Pilots took a close second with 66 points, losing narrowly to Dakota (71 points) at the May 21 Macomb County Championships.

DLS had two individual County Champions, who earnĀ All-County 1st team:

  • Brandon Piwinski – High Jump 6’10”
  • Allen Stritzinger – 110 Hurdles 14.62

Senior Brandon Piwinski repeated as County Champion and holds the county record of 7′ 1/4″ set in 2014.

Sophomore, Allen Stritzinger’s time in the 110M Hurdles is just short of the 2014 school record, 14.50, set in 2010 by Alex Guyon.

Earning All-County Second Team Honors:

  • Mickey Davey – 1600M 4:28.14
  • Allen Stritzinger – 300M Hurdles 40.71
  • Kevin Lee – 200M 23.1
  • 4×400 Relay – Brendan Sulkowski, Allen Stritzinger, Moshen Mokhtari and Chris Bratt 3:30.34

Earning All County 3rd Team Honors

  • Chris Bratt – 300M Hurdles 41.28

Also scoring points in the County Meet:

  • 4×800 team 5th Place (Mohsen Mokhtari, Aaron Robert, Russell Hu, Daniel Farchone) 8:46.95
  • Austin Potter – 7th place – Discus 140′ 3″
  • Austin Potter – 8th place – Shot Put 43′ 1.5″
  • 4×100 Relay – 7th place (Mitch Livingston, Kevin Lee, Brendan Sulkowski, Allen Stritzinger) 45.19

The Pilots next meet will be State Championship meet on Saturday, May 30, in Rockford.
