WARREN, Mich. – For the eighth time in the last nine years, the De La Salle Collegiate finished on top at the Michigan School Band & Orchestra Association’s District XVI Marching Festival.
The Marching Pilots, whose hard work and tireless effort on and off the field this season, culminated with an incredible performance, earning them a First Division Rating – the highest possible score – Wednesday night at Warren Mott High School.
“This is only the second time I’ve had a group of senior get (First Division) all four years,” said De La Salle music director Michael Szczegielniak. “They truly performed an amazing show tonight, and continued their long tradition of success.
“Thanks to all who have helped and supported the Marching Pilots this season. We are very proud of our students, and they deserve all the recognition they can get after such a great season.”
