Social Studies
The Social Studies Department challenges students' understanding of the world and pushes them to become responsible global citizens.
The curriculum includes mandatory World History, American History, Economics, and American Government classes. Students can also learn more about themselves and society by taking Psychology and Sociology.
Students are provided with the opportunity to take a wide variety of courses that offer the chance to earn college credits while in high school. Those include Advanced Placement European History, American History, Human Geography, Economics, and American Government.
The ultimate goal of the department is to teach students about the past and present in order to prepare them to go forth and create a better tomorrow.
