The Science Department allows students to interact with science through hands-on investigations.
The curriculum includes mandatory Biology and Chemistry classes their freshman and sophomore year. They follow their path of interest and choose between 12 different course offerings. Of these 12-course offerings students at De La Salle are provided with the opportunity to obtain college credits while in high school. These courses include Advanced Placement Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Students can also take a two-year Biology and Chemistry course as part of the International Baccalaureate program. The ultimate goal of the department is to teach students to understand and love science to become knowledgeable global citizens.
Students are required to have three years of Science to graduate.
