WARREN, Mich. (March 28, 2019) – De La Salle Collegiate is adding a new member to its Admissions team. Beginning April 1, Mike Giannone will add Associate Director of Enrollment Management to his résumé.

Giannone will report directly to Director of Enrollment Management Steve Laudicina.

“We’re extremely excited to have Mike join our Admissions team,” said Laudicina, a 2010 De La Salle alumnus. “Mike has many years of experience working with students and their families, so we feel fortunate to be able to bring another person onto our staff that embodies the mission and values of St. John Baptist de La Salle.”

Since coming to De La Salle in 2016 to become the 18th head football coach in school history, Giannone has worked with the Response to Intervention (RTI) team that identifies and supports students with learning and behavior needs. With his many contacts in and around Macomb County, he has been a tremendous asset and ambassador, both as a coach and as an advocate for students.

In his new role, Giannone will be responsible for selecting, and enrolling a diverse class of high-quality students for De La Salle. He, along with Laudicina and manager Angie Aldini, will be charged with developing marketing and strategic plans that will position De La Salle as the all-boys college preparatory school of choice for prospective families in Metro Detroit.

Together, the new Admissions team will work collaboratively with the Vice President of Marketing and Communications to create marketing plans, and develop admissions publications and programs that are consistent with De La Salle’s overall strategy.

Giannone, who will celebrate his 59th birthday on April 6, is an alumnus of Cousino High School in Warren. He earned a Bachelor’s in Education from Wayne State University, and has a Master’s of Education in Administrative Leadership from Saginaw Valley State University.

Giannone and his wife Dottie live in Clinton Township. They have three adult daughters, Laura, Barbara and Tara.
