At DLS, we use what is called a waterfall schedule which allows all classes to meet everyday, but not at the same time everyday.

When you applied for DLS, you provided all the information we need to be enrolled into our Student Information System called Infinite Campus.

Parents will be receiving a link to create their parent portal after July 1.

Students will be setting up their student portals when they attend either the 9th grade orientation or an onboarding session in the summer. 

Students interested in placing into a more advanced Math and/or Spanish may take any of our subject-specific
placement tests in the spring.

DLS requires students to have their own Chromebook. (no laptops/notebooks) The Wifi will be set up during Onboarding session.

Teachers will communicate Course Specific necessary school supplies during the first week of school.

DLS uses Google's cloud-based platform that integrates technology into the classroom.  As part of this program, all students are required to bring a fully charged Chromebook to school daily, beginning the first day of school. 

To help facilitate the use of that Chromebook, students are required to sign up for a mandatory Onboarding or 9th grade Orientation Summer Camp.  See the above tab for all the details and to sign up for one of the classes.

Any brand of Chromebook will suffice. Be aware, students are rough on them. It is recommended to purchase some kind of insurance on broken screens.

BNC is our online bookstore used to purchase digital and print textbooks.  On August 1, you will receive information regarding how to access BNC’s site and all other textbook purchasing options and processes.

DLS will offer a bus transportation program for families with two bus routes during the 2025-2026 school year.

Seats on the bus will be reserved on a first come first served basis. Students must be enrolled to register for the DLS Bus Program.

Bus registration will open on March 6.

We have a variety of summer camp offerings for all kinds of interests, abilities, and age levels. Our summer camps are a great way for our Junior Pilots and incoming students to get to know their peers before school starts.
 

All students are required to submit a valid physical dated after April 15 in Final Forms, our physical document collection system.

Fall/Winter Sports: Must submit physical forms no later than June 1, 2025. 

Spring Sports: Must submit physical forms no later than August 12, 2025.

All families with students who play sports MUST create an account with Arbiter, and go through the registration process. Please (re)submit your physical, and complete all the waivers and agreements. You only need to complete this once, and it will carry over year after year.
