Golf classic is back on

WARREN, Mich. - The Christian Brothers Classic golf outing is back ... sort of.

While this year's original June date at the legendary Detroit Golf Club was canceled because of the global pandemic, the event is moving 35 miles north up I-75.

This year’s golf classic has been rescheduled for August 24 at Indianwood Golf and Country Club in Lake Orion.

Since last year's inaugural event sold out five weeks prior to the event, there will be high demand!

Proceeds from the outing go toward the Ed Martel Memorial Scholarship that supports students at De La Salle Collegiate. The second annual CBC will honor the late Dan Marsh ‘81 as this year's Ed Martel Award recipient.

The price is $175 per person. Registration for foursomes is only $700. Register today at The Pilot Hangar. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

THE PLANS

  • 10 a.m. registration begins
  • 10:45-11:45 a.m. cocktail hour
  • 12 p.m. shotgun start
  • 4:30-6:30 p.m. cocktail hour

NEW THIS YEAR

Indianwood has two courses, so only the first 36 groups to register will be permitted to participate in this year’s outing. Social distancing will be practiced.

Since there will be only one group per hole, the pace of play is expected to be very fast.

This event will not include dinner, nor will there be a silent auction. Though appetizers will be passed during the post-round cocktail hour.

Each golfer will receive:

  • a boxed lunch.
  • fabulous prizes, including Adidas apparel.

This outing is designed to bring the De La Salle community together to have a fun day of golf while staying safe.
