Congratulations to our De La Salle Collegiate Bowlers!
DLS Bowling won the Woodhaven Region 6 which punched their ticket to the State Tournament for the first time since 2012!  After six Baker games the Pilots were in first by a slim one-pin margin. They fell to third after the first two regular games, but they rebounded with a great third game to lead the region by 108 pins!
Jacob Kujawa led the way all day for the Pilots with games of 211, 215, and 215 for a 641 series. Jacob also grabbed the 10th and final spot on Saturday in the singles event to qualify for the singles portion of the State Tournament.
At the State meet, DLS finished 5th, and Jacob Kujawa finished in 20th place.
After 8 baker games the team was in 9th place with 2 regular games to go.  After a disappointing 924 in game 1, the boys rallied with a 1060 game 2 and vaulted from 13th place to 5th! The 1060 game was the 2nd highest of the day!  The top 8 teams moved on to match play, and the Pilots faced the 4th seeded Saline team.  Unfortunately that’s where the run for a State title ended for our squad.  DLS had to settle for a 5ht place finish.
Jacob Kujawa missed qualifying for match play in the singles portion by 14 pins.
