Christian Brothers Auxiliary
The Christian Brothers Auxiliary, often affectionately called the Moms’ Club, is built on traditions that date back to 1926 when the founding women met to meet the needs of the Christian Brothers who were here to educate the young men in the Detroit area.
From that time, the CBA has expanded its mission to include fundraising events to support the needs of the school and its students. The CBA is proud to have contributed over $1.7 million since 1982.
Just as in the past, the CBA today is made up of many dedicated women, from freshmen moms to the more experienced members who stay on long after their sons have graduated. In addition, grandmothers, aunts, friends, and siblings of current or former students are also members.
The CBA meets monthly during the school year. The wonderful feeling of accomplishment and the rewards of many lifelong friendships are only two of the reasons that members enjoy being part of the CBA.
Please contact CBA President Kathleen Cyr with any questions.

Christian Brothers Auxiliary provides significant gift to De La Salle
The Christian Brothers Auxiliary celebrated the end of the 2018-19 school year at its June meeting. It was filled with awards and feelings of great accomplishments.
CBA President Kathleen Cyr, was happy to announce that the Board of the Christian Brothers Auxiliary had voted in May to give $50,000 to the De La Salle Collegiate Tuition Assistance Fund to aid students in need for this upcoming school year. This significant monetary donation is an addition to the CBA Co-Pilot Scholarship of $13,450 that was donated this year to cover the cost of one-year’s tuition, plus $1,000.
Mrs. Roseanne Poley was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for her more than 22 years of service to the CBA and De La Salle. The mother of Tim DLS “00, Christopher DLS “02 and Michael DLS “04, graciously accepted her beautiful award and was humbled by the $500 donation made in her name to the CBA Endowed Scholarship Fund. She called the women of the CBA “amazing” for their support, prayers, and friendship.
Brother Pat McNally, the Christian Brothers Auxiliary moderator, awarded Drew Cummins, DLS Class of 2019, with the Brother George Synan Award and a $1,000 scholarship. The Brothers chose Drew because of his great attitude, kindness and embodying the spirit of Brother George and De La Salle. Drew’s mother, Mrs. Wendy Cummins, is a dedicated CBA board member and this award is also considered a recognition of her service to the Christian Brothers Auxiliary and to De La Salle.
The evening ended with a birthday celebration for Brother Pat and for Brother Robert Deary.
The women of the Christian Brothers Auxiliary presented them with monetary gifts and a lovely cake with many candles signifying good wishes for blessings and good health.
