For nearly a century, De La Salle Collegiate has remained steadfast in its mission of forming young men of faith, character, intellect, and leadership—true to its enduring promise of being “Builders of Boys. A Foundation of Faith: Honoring the Cornerstone Ceremony that Built De La Salle Collegiate

January 17, 2026

On January 17, 1926, a defining moment in De La Salle Collegiate history was set in stone—literally. On a cold winter day at the corner of Conner and Glenfield, Bishop Michael J. Gallagher joined the Christian Brothers, clergy, benefactors, and members of the Board of Trustees to lay the cornerstone of the new De La Salle Collegiate building, marking the next major step in bringing their vision to life.

Honoring the Groundbreaking that Sparked 100 Years of Lasallian Excellence

November 15, 2025

On November 15, 1925, the Christian Brothers and the Board of Trustees stood together on an empty plot of land, on the corner of Conner and Glenfield, envisioning a future rooted in faith, brotherhood, and excellence, and broke ground on De La Salle Collegiate.

To honor that legacy, our current leadership team recently restaged the original 1925 groundbreaking photo, capturing a powerful image that connects our past to our present. Just as the original Board of Directors and Brothers did a century ago, today’s leaders stand committed to guiding De La Salle Collegiate into its next 100 years with the same spirit of mission and purpose.
