Dear Pilot Family,

This Sunday is Mother’s Day! May all of our Moms be blessed and thanked for all that they do for their families!

I would like to thank Mrs. Michol and her team for organizing the Senior Prom! Over 140 couples will be attending tomorrow night!  They will be on the Infinity Yachts leaving from the Jefferson Marina is 24400 Jefferson  Avenue in St. Clair Shores. Between 9-10 mile roads. Thanks to so many teachers for chaperoning!

AP Exams continue next week! Senior Exams are May 16-19 with rehearsal on the 20!

Graduation rehearsal will be on May 20 at 12 noon. All seniors must be in attendance to receive their cap and gown. Dress code on grooming will be severely enforced, (haircuts, shaving) and Seniors will not receive their cap & gown if they are not in code. All Senior parents should have received an email informing them of prom, all-night party, and a Plan B if the weather does not cooperate and if we have to have the Mass and ceremony indoors. The Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation will begin at 4 pm on May 21, at the St. John Baptiste de La Salle Field. The Senior All Night Party takes place on May 22 beginning at 10:30 pm and ending at 5 am on the 23!

Graduation Pronunciation: Parents, please take a moment to fill out the Google Doc attached HERE. This serves as a doublecheck for us to ensure that names are pronounced correctly at the graduation ceremony. 

Book Buybacks: Buybacks through MBS will all be virtual. Our book vendor can be found HERE, The Science teachers are requesting Biology and Chemistry used books to be donated to the school, please drop them off to room 432.

The World Cultures Club will travel to Paris, Barcelona, and Madrid next Easter. There will be an informational meeting on May 10th, 2022 at 6:30 pm in the Tarmac. Chaperones: Mr. Wilson Juncaj and Mrs.Adriana Vidican will be using EF Tours for this trip. If you have any questions, please contact them directly! A deposit of $100 is due by the end of May. Cost of the whole trip is $3785.

Our Mother’s Day Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 11! A reminder that students must be in DLS shirt and tie apparel. The Mass will take place in the Bill Fox Gym at 9:25 am, We are requesting that the moms arrive at 9 am. Parking could be difficult, please be patient! We will ask most of the boys who park behind the gym to park on the city streets so that the lot will have plenty of spots for our Moms. This will be the last All School Mass for the 2021-2022 school year! Fr. Gambala will be our celebrant.

Underclassmen Exam Schedule: Final Exams for Underclassmen are from Tuesday, May 31 through Friday, June 3. Watch this space more specific information; there are two exams scheduled for each day with the exception of Friday, June 3 where there will be one exam.

Parking passes will be available for purchase for the 2022-2023 school year beginning now. However, the actual assignments will not start until Tuesday, May 24. The cost is $50 per parking pass, students are required to pay online HERE and fill out a form with the car information that is sent in the email confirmation after purchase.

School Physicals are planned for June 1st from 10:30 am until 1 pm. -  please schedule your appointments HERE. June 15. 2022 exams will take place from 4:30 -7 pm HERE. Cost is $25 All athletes must have a physical for the upcoming school year in order to participate in athletics.
