School year in full swing, Rice collection thank you, Sacraments, Early dismissal next week, and much more

September 17, 2021

Dear Pilot Family,

Many thanks for the participation of so many of our families, students, teachers, and staff who donated - Rice - this past week, to go along with our Brother Rice football games. Our rice delivery will begin on Monday, to St. Faustina’s, St. Margaret’s, and St. Jude’s Food Banks, as well as Gleaners Food Bank. The tally was  5,500 lbs of Rice!!

Is your son in need of receiving his sacraments? If you wish Baptism, Holy Communion, or Confirmation, please email me or have your son see Mr. Berlin in Campus Ministry. Fr. Gambala from St. Malachy is our school chaplain and will meet with your son. The first meeting is this Wednesday, September 22 at 7:30 am in the school chapel. A reminder that we have weekly Mass on Wednesdays in the Chapel at 7:00 am! Next Wednesday, the Football team will join us for Mass! Each week a different athletic team will participate in the Mass!

Our Athletic Department will be having their yearly fundraiser, Vertical Raise, which will be raising money for the extras that each athletic team may need. In advance, I would like to thank you for your generosity.

A full listing of our Athletics schedule can be found at: ATHLETIC SITE Our Sports teams are underway. We wish all of our athletes and coaches the best of luck in their season. Please consider attending and/or volunteering at our games; the Pilot family shows great sportsmanship and spirit! As you are probably aware, our teams are all doing well and add to a great spirit at the Collegiate.
