Thanks for your prayers, Third Marking Period Ends, Mother-son Mass scheduled, and Spring Sports

Dear Pilot Family,         

Many thanks for the prayers and kindnesses received this week as Brother Bob Carnaghi, FSC was laid to rest, the De La Salle family truly came together and we are extremely grateful.

The 3rd Marking Period ends next Friday, March 19, please remind your son(s) to check their grades to make sure that everything is current and correct. Third marking period progress reports will be available at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 26. Academic Letters are now available in the Pilot Hangar!

May 10 we will celebrate our annual Mother/Son Mass at 9:45 am on the St. John Baptiste de LaSalle Field. Please click HERE to RSVP (required). Please fill out letting us know how many Moms will be attending. I know this is early, so this will repeat in future letters, RSVP by May 3!!!

The Raffle Drive ends next Tuesday. We thank you for your generosity and support to De La Salle. If you need more tickets or information please call the Advancement Office, 586-541-6221, the drawing is Tuesday, March 16.

As the weather begins to get warmer, we will be adjusting our dress code back to our regular dress code, with the DLS Polo being required to be worn daily.  Starting March 22, which is the beginning of the 4th quarter, our regular school dress code will be required of all students. As of March 22, no hoodies or sweatshirts will be allowed to be worn in class. All jackets, sweatshirts, and hoodies will be kept in the boy's lockers.

Spring Sports will begin on March 22 with tryouts/workouts. Please go to the athletic website for an updated schedule of Golf, Track, Baseball, and Lacrosse. As we know Spring weather fluctuates, the schedule is constantly being updated due to weather cancellations.

Seniors - Sunday, May 16  is the scheduled date for the Senior Prom.  The Prom will be held at Zuccaro’s Banquets & Catering. Address: 46601 Gratiot Avenue, Chesterfield, MI 48051. The tickets will go on sale starting Monday, April 19 - Friday, April 30 for $100 a couple. Tickets will not be available after April 30 because a count has to be turned into the hall. After April 30, no refunds will be issued. Tickets can be purchased at the Business Office or through your Facts Account. Doors will open at 4:00 p.m.  A family-style dinner will be served promptly at 5:00 p.m. & the dance will end at 8:00 p.m. If you have any further questions please contact Mrs. Michol.

The Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation are scheduled for Saturday, May 22 beginning at 4:00 p.m. on the St. John Baptist de La Salle Field! 

As this is the weekend to move our clocks ahead 1 hour! May we move ahead with our Lenten goals of preparation for the risen Lord in our hearts and minds. We pray that we are an instrument of light and hope for those we serve.
