Congratulations to Ron Rogowski, ‘73, who recently ran in the Detroit Marathon.
“I finished the Detroit Marathon in a vertical position,” Ron said. “That was my goal. The weather was perfect for running and I enjoyed the new route for the last 13 miles. The highlight was seeing high school friend John Bentley at mile 8.”
Ron proudly noted his DLS graduation year on his race bib, along with his graduation year from the University of Detroit.
He was a special education teacher in the Ferndale District for several years.
Ron has run in several other marathons over the last few years, including the 2017 Boston Marathon.
He makes his home in Maumee, Ohio, but is regularly in the Detroit area. Ron ushers at the Little Caesar’s Arena, and keeps a boat at a marina in Harrison Township.
He is the father of Jonah Rogowski, ‘04, who lives in Florida.
