De La Salle Collegiate students generously donated to the 2021 Christmas Food Drive, benefitting the food pantries at three Detroit-area parishes.

Deliveries were made to St. Hyacinth (Detroit), Our Lady Queen of Apostles (Hamtramck), and St. Margaret of Scotland (St. Clair Shores). 

The non-perishable goods were collected from November 22 through December 12. 

Ben Westphal, DLS ‘16, organized the effort through the DLS Campus Ministry Office. 

Westphal said that unlike past years, with homerooms “adopting families” and purchasing gifts, that COVID-19 concerns meant shopping in stores and delivering to families presented potential risks.
