Academic Spotlight: Jack Bailey

Congratulations to senior Jack Bailey, who has been accepted at seven universities, and has academic scholarship offers totaling nearly $400,000.

With his 3.730 GPA, Jack has decided to attend Michigan State University (MSU), and major in engineering. He also has acceptances from the University of Detroit-Mercy, Wayne State University, Kettering University, the University of Dayton, Indiana Tech, and the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

His decision to attend MSU is because he has always wanted to go there; he plans to major in mechanical engineering or computer science.

Currently enrolled in Advanced Placement Microeconomics and Advanced Placement Computer Science, Jack’s favorite class at De La Salle has been the series of engineering classes he has taken with Mr. Ron Barger. Jack took Introduction to Engineering as a sophomore, Principles of Engineering as a Junior, and is currently enrolled in Digital Electronics.

His favorite teacher is Mr. Jim Singelyn.

Jack has participated in the Ski Club, the Lacrosse team, Robotics, and Esports.

His favorite memory of De La Salle is skiing on Friday nights and the annual Ski Club trips to Boyne.

Jack attended Iroquois Middle School and lives in Macomb Township with his parents David and Cheryl Bailey. The family attends Mass at St. Therese of Lisieux.
