Recent De La Salle Collegiate graduates Luke Jablonski and Joshua Opolski were honored by the American Polish Century Club at a gathering on May 21, 2025.

The two students received scholarship money for their academic achievements; the scholarships are to be used for college. Luke is headed to the University of Notre Dame; Josh is headed to Macomb Community College.

DLS Alumni Relations Director Vito Chirco, ‘11, served as the keynote speaker for the event. 

"Luke Jablonski and Joshua Opolski are two high-achieving, faith-filled young men who have bright futures ahead of them,” Chirco said. “They were exemplary leaders for their classmates at De La Salle, and it was a pleasure watching them grow from boys into men during their time at The Collegiate. They were more than deserving recipients of the scholarships granted to them by the American Polish Century Club."

Opolski and Jablonski were honored along with five other students from various high schools.

Darryl Onderik, ‘75, serves as the President of the American Polish Century Club.
