The Honors Banking Class, along with Mr. Dennis Koch, '94, and Mrs. Ashley Geddes, from the Christian Financial Credit Union, and alumnus Mark Wisniewski, '83, attended the 2021 Annual Mass For Commerce on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Sacred Heart Major Seminary, hosted by the Archdiocese of Detroit.
The Mass, the 28th Annual celebration, gathers leaders from the Detroit area to celebrate the Eucharist in thanksgiving for God's love and grace.
The Mass was live-streamed at the Mass for Commerce website.
Wisniewski, CEO of the Kitch law firm, a major sponsor of the event, joined the DLS group.
"It's a chance for the Catholic business community to come together and pray," said Wisniewski. "To start your day in a calm setting, and have a moment of silence, is a good way to be successful."
Dennis Koch, '94, Alumni Relations Director, accompanied the group. "Going to the Mass for Commerce is a wonderful experience for our business students," Koch said. "The Mass is an extension of what our students learn at De La Salle. Our students get to celebrate a Mass, and afterwards meet Catholic businessmen. It's a perfect experience."
