Congratulations, Seniors!

Dear De La Salle Collegiate Graduates,

Congratulations on your graduation! While we understand that the situation in which we are living these days has dampened the proper celebrations to which many of you were looking forward, we hope that you will take solace in knowing that we are very proud of your significant accomplishment and pray for your success as you transition to the next phase of your life. It is our sincere hope that the education you received at De La Salle equipped you with the knowledge and courage to live out your faith as adults.

The lessons that you were taught and the assignments that you completed have equipped you well for life in this world. As a De La Salle graduate, you have a desire to seek wisdom and truth, the discipline to become self-learners, the capacity to recognize ethical and moral grounding for behavior, and the responsibility to transform and enrich the world with the light of Christ’s Gospel.

We know that this is an unprecedented time in the life of our world and the local Church. But unprecedented challenges bring unprecedented graces. We are confident that if we entrust ourselves to the Lord in these days, we will emerge from this trial of uncertainty with a renewed confidence in God’s providential designs and ready to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.

As you now transition to studying at a university or pursuing a career, your knowledge and faith will continue to be challenged by new situations that you will encounter. We encourage you to remember your faith and to embrace the time-tested values and truths that you learned during your De La Salle years. Now more than ever, the Church needs you to engage the world, working to right that which is wrong. Unleash the Gospel!

Congratulations, and may God bless you! Sincerely yours in Christ,
