On Thursday, Oct. 29, the school administration was notified that two students and one support staff member have tested positive for COVID-19. We at De La Salle Collegiate want you to know that we are following the CDC guidelines as well as the directives of the Macomb County Health Department and the Archdiocese of Detroit. The students have not been in school since the beginning of this week and will be in quarantine for the days ahead following the guidelines of the CDC.
We can assure you that the exposure to the virus stemmed from an outside activity not connected with DeLaSalle Collegiate but feel that it is important that we inform the DeLaSalle community.
Parents, as a reminder, if your son is demonstrating any symptoms, please refer to our Covid dashboard for specific instructions. If you feel that you need to keep your son home, please contact 586-778-2207 or our email email@example.com.
Per usual, this evening our classrooms will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized by our cleaning company and we will have classes tomorrow. We understand that some may feel anxious, but we want you to be reassured that we are and will continue to take every precaution. We will be notifying any families that may have had close contact with the students.
