Cross-Country Moves to Regionals
Congratulations to the De La Salle Collegiate Cross-Country team headed to Regionals on Friday, Oct. 30.
The team placed third on Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the District competition at Metro Beach Metropark in Harrison Township.
The team missed second by one point, and senior Preston Earl took 5th overall.
Coach Sandy Buchanan was pleased with her team's performance but knows there is still much work to be done.
"The boys will need to bring their best to the regional meet," Buchanan said. "A strong showing is necessary for a chance to run at the state meet in a few weeks."
The regional competition is Friday, Oct. 30, at the Chandler Park Golf Course in Detroit.
State finals are scheduled for Friday, Nov. 6, in Brooklyn, MI.
