In a time where in-person events have been limited, De La Salle Collegiate Advancement Director Greg Esler has announced the school will host an in-person gathering for members of the school community to enjoy.
De La Salle’s Toast of the Town, a night out with Detroit Piston legend Isiah Thomas, will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Detroit Athletic Club.
There will be two group sessions to allow for appropriate social-distancing measures. “Group A” will meet with Isiah from 4-5:30 p.m. followed by “Group B” from 6:30-8 p.m. Assorted hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, a beef-carving station, valet parking, and open bar will be provided.
“We are really excited to have this event,” Esler said. “This will be a great opportunity for our alumni, parents, and friends to come together and enjoy each other's company while also getting to meet a Piston legend.”
Isiah, a 12-time NBA all-star who was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history, will be on hand to greet attendees. In addition, all will receive a bottle of his signature Cheurlin Brut Champagne, each with his autograph.
Tickets, which will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis, cost $175 per person /$350 per couple.
Sponsorships for the event are available. If interested in sponsoring please contact Dennis Koch, 586.541.6221 or Dan Rohn, 586.541.6248.
If you cannot attend you can still donate the cost of a ticket. In return, you will receive an autographed bottle of champagne and a featured item of De La Salle apparel from the Pilot Hangar. These items will be available for pickup or delivery.
