DLS Announces Josh Sinagoga, ’09, as Associate Director of Advancement
Warren, MI — De La Salle Collegiate proudly announces the appointment of alumnus Josh Sinagoga, ’09, as the school’s new Associate Director of Advancement. Sinagoga will also serve as Associate Head Coach for the football program, returning to his alma mater after building a strong career in collegiate athletics.

In this role, Sinagoga will work closely with Director of Advancement Greg Esler, who will retire this summer after years of dedicated service to De La Salle. Esler will continue supporting the school in a part-time role focused on major gifts and donor relationships.

A graduate of De La Salle Collegiate, Sinagoga was the starting quarterback for the Pilots and helped lead the program to a Catholic League championship and a state runner-up finish. His experience as a student-athlete, combined with years working in high-level collegiate programs, gives him a deep understanding of the mission and brotherhood that define De La Salle.

“We are very excited about Josh's return to the Collegiate,” said Principal Chris Dean, ’89. “The passion and dedication he demonstrated during his years at Common and Gloede have followed him throughout his career. We have admired his accomplishments from afar for some time and cannot wait for him to leave his mark on a new generation of Pilots.”

Following graduation, Sinagoga went on to play quarterback at Northwood University, where he was elected team captain and earned multiple academic honors. He later transitioned into coaching, building his career at several respected programs, including Central Michigan, Iowa, Cincinnati, Youngstown State, and, most recently, the University of Michigan, where he was part of the Wolverines’ national championship staff.

Throughout his career, Sinagoga has been recognized not only for his football knowledge but also for his ability to lead, connect, and build meaningful relationships.

“I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with Josh, and what stands out most is his ability to lead, connect, and genuinely care about the people around him,” said Jeff Fratarcangeli, ’91. “He’s someone who elevates everyone in the room and brings real value to any program he’s a part of.”

Sinagoga added that De La Salle played a major role in shaping who he is today. “The values, discipline, and brotherhood I experienced here stayed with me throughout my career. It is incredibly meaningful to return home and help give future students the same opportunities that meant so much to me.”

In his advancement role, Sinagoga will focus on strengthening alumni engagement, supporting fundraising initiatives, and helping ensure that opportunities like a De La Salle education remain accessible for future generations.

As the associate head football coach, he will also support the football program, working alongside the current staff to continue developing student-athletes and the program as a whole.

Sinagoga and his family will return to the De La Salle community this spring.
