On Tuesday, March 5, a group of De La Salle Collegiate sophomores, along with 200 students from 14 other Archdiocese of Detroit high schools, gathered at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit for a Day of Reflection and Prayer.
The day, intended to deepen students' faith through understanding of the Eucharist and strengthen their identities as Catholics, also gave them a shared experience to connect to the broader Church.

DLS Campus Ministers Sister Kathleen Matz and Brother Carl Malacalza accompanied the group.
Sister Kathleen said, “This day had real value for our students. They were able to engage with their peers from other Catholic high schools, and learn more about the Real Presence of the Eucharist.
“They also discussed other important dimensions of faith, such as discipleship, the Eucharistic Liturgy, and the Creed."
The day also included praise and worship music and liturgy trivia.
Sophomore Jacob Kaptur said, "It was a wonderful experience. I hope I can go back next year."
