DLS Welcomes Back Andrew Campbell

Mr. Andrew Campbell, School Psychologist and member of the Counseling Team at DLS from 2018 - 2024, is returning to DLS this fall in a new role.

“The students, staff, and entire De La Salle community are excited to welcome back Andrew Campbell as our new Dean of Students and Director of Counseling,” said Mr. Dan Rohn, Chief Operating Officer.

Rohn added, “Andrew’s passion, experience, and deep understanding of our community make him a perfect fit for this leadership role. His return will help us continue to strengthen both our Counseling Department and administrative team as we focus on building a positive culture and enhancing the overall academic experience for our students.”

“It feels great to be back!” Campbell said. “I am most excited about working with the teaching staff on a day-to-day basis again. The Lasallian mission and the school's motto - Builders of Boys. Makers of Men -  are two components of the school that connect with me on a deep level; I am very grateful for the opportunity to return to those principles.”

His core responsibilities include student support services like counseling/college and career planning, along with academic support. His administrative role includes overseeing student life, which includes policy, procedure, and programming for student engagement, crisis/conflict management, and retention/satisfaction and success.

“The connections amongst the faculty and staff, along with the alumni and community that surrounds the school, are so unique,” Campbell said. “I believe those relationships are a direct result of the presence and commitment to the Lasallian Mission.”

He added, “It's a cliche, but it truly is the people - admin, faculty, staff, students, alumni, parents - that make DLS such a special place to work.”

As the Head of Counseling, Campbell said he expects “comprehensive involvement in the educational experience.”

Principal Chris Dean said, “We are so happy to welcome Andrew back to De La Salle. He has made a tremendous impact on his students and their families, and I’m excited to see him replicate that on a wider platform. He is very well regarded by his colleagues and is already bringing great ideas to the table. His enthusiasm is infectious, and we are all looking forward to the coming school year.”

Please join us in welcoming back Andrew, his wife Julie, and their three wonderful children—Alexander (9), Maureen (8), and Owen (7)—to the DLS family.
