De La Salle Collegiate High School welcomes Mr. Dan Cimini as the school’s new Admissions Counselor.
Cimini brings admissions experience from University-Liggett School (ULS) in Grosse Pointe Woods, which like De La Salle, is also a member of the Detroit Catholic High School League (CHSL). He was also a teacher, coach, and administrator at Liggett.
Cimini said De La Salle's faith-based education led him to apply for the Admissions position. “I have friends who attended De La Salle, and I have always admired the school. It has all the qualities I believe in.”
Dan is already impressed with the school’s culture.
“People here are just amazing. There is such a kindness and warmth everyone has for each other,” he said. “What stands out to me is the level of respect students have for each other, their teachers and administrators. This is different from anything I have seen anywhere else.”
Cimini looks forward to meeting all of the teachers and staff. “I want to be suitably familiar with what goes on at De La Salle each day. The school truly lives its motto Builders of Boys. Makers of Men.”
Cimini grew up on the east side of Detroit and attended Grosse Pointe South High School.
After graduating from the University of Detroit-Mercy, with a major in Sports Medicine degree, he held various positions as an athletic trainer with semi-professional and professional athletic teams in the Detroit area and opened his own personal training business.
