DLS Welcomes Wendy Cummins to Board of Trustees

De La Salle Collegiate is pleased to announce the appointment of Wendy Cummins to its Board of Trustees, adding a respected educator and longtime school community leader to its governing body.

Cummins holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Saginaw Valley State University and is a certified teacher in the State of Michigan. Cummins also brings more than two decades of experience in education, having served as a teacher with Birmingham Public Schools from 1999 to 2024. Her excellence in the classroom was recognized when she was named Birmingham Public Schools Middle School Teacher of the Year in 2024 and an Oakland County Teacher of the Year nominee in 2015.

In addition to her professional career, Cummins has deep and meaningful ties to De La Salle Collegiate. She and her husband, Patrick, '88— a De La Salle alumnus — are the proud parents of two DLS graduates, Drew, ‘19, and Cody, ‘23. Her volunteer leadership includes service as Vice President of the Christian Brothers Auxiliary, the De La Salle Collegiate mothers’ club.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Wendy Cummins as a new member of our Board of Trustees,” said Board Chair Ben Aloia, '91. “We are grateful for her willingness to serve and look forward to the leadership, insight, and perspective she will bring to the Board.”

“Wendy brings a strong background in education, valuable experience in working with the CBA, and a deep personal connection to De La Salle,” said Chief Operating Officer Dan Rohn, “ Her blend of professional expertise, strategic leadership, and personal commitment to the Lasallian mission will be a valuable asset, as De La Salle continues to advance its mission and plan for the future.”
