Fall Kairos Retreat Filling up Fast

The De La Salle Collegiate Campus Ministry team has been extremely busy this summer, planning for a variety of activities, including liturgies, retreats, and service opportunities.

One of the highlights of Campus Ministry is the Kairos retreat, offered to juniors and seniors, each fall and spring.

The fall Kairos event runs from Monday, October 21, 2024 (after school) through Thursday, October 24; the program lasts for 3 ½ days.DLS Faculty Member Mr. Ben Westphal, Class of 2016, directs the retreat in conjunction with the Campus Ministry Staff: Ms. Amanda Hammou, Sister Kathleen Matz, CDP, Brother Lewis Harwood, FSC, and Brother Thomas Lackey, FSC.

“This is a powerful retreat that has impacted so many,” Westphal said. “Kairos was my favorite experience in high school.”

Westphal added, “I highly encourage any junior or senior student to sign up for this retreat. This is an excellent opportunity to strengthen your friendships with your peers, friends, and God. Do not miss out! Take this opportunity to join us!”

What is Kairos?

The Kairos retreat program includes a series of talks given by peers and adults. Prayer and sacraments are an essential part of this program, as well as the participants’ involvement in discussions and other exercises. Students are encouraged to continue their faith journey beyond the retreat experience.
