At the Friday, December 6, 2024 Liturgy at De La Salle Collegiate High School, four students were commissioned by Fr. Adam Nowak as Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist (EME).
The students include
- Junior Evan Kelley, currently an EME at his home parish St. Therese of Lisieux
- Senior Evan Cole, home parish St.Malachy
- Senior Noah Dudus, home parish St. Joan of Arc
- Junior Christopher Lanni, home parish St. Lawrence
Sister Kathleen Matz, CDP, a member of the Campus Ministry team, said, “All four students have displayed a remarkable understanding of the Eucharist as the source and summit of Christian life. Each student is a positive role model of his Christian faith in the De La Salle Community.”
Sister Kathleen added, “I am inspired by the reverence, humility, and commitment exhibited by each of these students.”
Noah Dudus has chosen to become an EME to be able to administer communion at weekend Masses.
“I have always yearned for a stronger relationship with the Eucharist,” Noah said. “It now feels like I am a guardian of it as well.I now take a lot of pride in my strong Catholic beliefs.”
Evan Cole said he is becoming an EME to become more involved in his church.
