As of this afternoon, we have been notified that one of our students has tested positive with Covid. We are following the CDC guidelines as well as the directives of the Macomb County Health Department and the Archdiocese of Detroit. The student was not in school today and will be in quarantine for the next two weeks following the guidelines of the CDC.
As usual, our classrooms will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized by our cleaning company this evening and we will have classes tomorrow, Thursday, October 15.
We have been advised by the Macomb County Health Department that returning to school is appropriate due to our protocols already in place. These protocols specifically include our classroom desks being six feet apart and masks are required at all times with the exception of consuming lunch.
We understand that some may feel anxious, but we want you to be reassured that we are and will continue to take every precaution. We have notified any families that may have had close contact with the student.
