Congratulations to these students, newly selected for membership in the De La Salle Collegiate National Honor Society (NHS) for the 2025-2026 school year. The NHS Induction ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, at 6 p.m., at De La Salle. 

NHS Moderator Mr. Ben Westphal said, “The National Honor Society is a premier organization that highlights the brightest and best De La Salle has to offer. The application process is rigorous, yet truly demonstrates our Lasallian values of service.” 

Applicants to the NHS must meet the following requirements: 

• Cumulative GPA of 3.5
• Five service events (through the DLS Volunteer website)
• Ten hours of tutoring through our tutoring program
• A fully completed application

Westphal noted that he must approve all service and tutoring. 

In addition to the academic and service requirements, Westphal also monitors student behavior and student professionalism. Students must maintain high standards that represent our Lasallian Institution to its fullest potential. 

Westphal said, “The National Honor Society members are held to a much higher standard that will prepare them for academic success.” 

Officers will be voted on at a future date. The National Honor Society will have its first meeting, for members only, Friday, September 12.
