Pilots Become “Crime Scene Specialists”

Students in Mrs. Mary Balamucki’s Anatomy and Physiology recently completed an investigation into the role of the skeletal system in forensic science.

Balamucki taught the juniors and seniors how crime scene specialists use bone length and mathematical formulas to establish the height of the person whose bones were found at a crime scene.

The students then measured their own bones, and performed the calculations to compare their own estimated height to their actual size.
