Senior Brennan Urbas has had a full schedule of Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) classes and is on track to graduate summa cum laude with his De La Salle Collegiate Class of 2025.
As a junior he took three AP classes: AP American Government, AP English Language and Composition, and AP Environmental Science as well as Honors Spanish 3. As a senior, he is taking AP Statistics.
Brennan is an active student outside of the classroom. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the World Cultures Club, and the Fishing Club. He has played lacrosse the last three years and looking forward to his senior season.
He would like to attend either Michigan State University or Lawrence Institute of Technology and major in Engineering.
Brennan advises freshmen to “get good grades from the start” and “don’t be afraid to go outside of your comfort zone.”
Music teacher Mr. Robert Cornwell, De La Salle Collegiate Class of 2019, says, “Brennan is an outstanding student and a perfect example of the character we try to instill in our students. He has a kind heart and is always willing to go the extra mile, whether volunteering around the school or on the Lacrosse field.”
“Brennan Urbas has been a fantastic Pilot,” says Mr. Ben Westphal, De La Salle Collegiate Class of 2016 and moderator of the school’s National Honor Society (NHS). “As an NHS member, he has constantly given back to the students and community; he has tutored various students over the years and has helped them succeed. Additionally, he does not shy away from doing service. He embraces it.”
Westphal added, “His involvement in the school is inspiring. Every year, Brennan always assists with the Spirit Week hallway decorating and is always willing to ask what he can do to assist. His NHS membership has impacted our school AND our community. Brennan is a Pilot who follows our Lasallian values on a daily basis.”
Brennan lives in Clinton Township with his parents Brian and Kelli; the family attends Mass at St. Paul of Tarsus, also in Clinton Township.
Brennan’s older brother Collin, De La Salle Collegiate Class of 2023, is now at Northwood University in Midland, MI, where he is on the college’s golf team.
