For senior Jack Randazzo, finding a summer job in 2025 will be easy.
Jack worked at the Seacrest-Wardle law firm in Troy in 2024 and will be there again this summer.
That’s before he heads off to college, likely the James Madison College at Michigan State University, where he plans to major in political science on the pre-law track.
Jack’s older sister Grace already attends MSU.
He has other acceptances to the University of Detroit Mercy and Chicago Loyola, among others.
Jack is on track to graduate magna cum laude, and his transcript includes numerous Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) classes.
Faculty member Mr. Thaier Mukhtar said, “It was a pleasure having Jack in AP Government class. He scored high grades in class and on the AP test. This intelligent individual is driven for success. He is respected by his peers and treats others well. He has the charisma to do well in all aspects of life. I have no doubt he will excel at the next level of his education.”
Jack is a member of the National Honor Society and is an NHS academic tutor. He has participated in a variety of activities including the DLS Mock Trial Club and the Stock Market Club. The Mock Trial Club is going to the state finals March 21-22. He was also a Link Crew leader both his junior and senior years.
Jack attended Holy Family Regional School in Rochester Hills and his choice to attend De La Salle was an easy one.
“I chose to attend DLS because my father, Dr. Frank Randazzo, Class of ‘92, and uncles Anthony Randazzo, Class of ‘96, and Michael Tamulevich, Class of ‘93 are all DLS alumni,” Jack said. “I have always loved hearing them share their stories about DLS and what an amazing school it is. My dad’s best friends to this day are his friends that he graduated with from DLS.”
Jack has a younger brother, Ryan, currently a freshman.
And Jack’s family relationships at DLS now include his cousins, current junior Evan Kelley and current sophomore Dominic Tamulevich.
Jack said his best memories of De La Salle will be attending Kairos, participating in Mock Trial, and playing lacrosse. Jack is a four-year lacrosse player
“I will forever treasure the friendships that I have made with my teammates and classmates,” he said.
“I would also like to thank my teachers and coaches,” Jack said. “Their lessons will stay with me for a lifetime. They have been such an inspiration.”
Faculty member Mr. Mike Shortt, DLS ‘04, said, “Jack is a pleasure to have in class. He is a superb student, has a quiet confidence, and is as well-rounded as any student I have had. He also has a remarkable ability to lift others around him up. I know he will do great things in his very bright future”
Jack advises freshmen to work hard and participate in school activities.
“Don’t be afraid to try new things in high school whether it be a new sport or a new club. You might not know you like something until you try it and could end up loving it.”
Jack and his parents, Dr. Frank Randazzo and Laurie Randazzo, live in Rochester Hills, and attend St. Andrew Catholic Church, also in Rochester Hills.
