Congratulations to seniors Lance Garmo, Micah Walker, and Joshua Wilson - all recipients of the Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary Scholarships. 

The students were recognized at the Rotary’s weekly meeting on Tuesday, May 19.

To qualify for the scholarships must live in the Rotary’s service area.

About Each Scholarship Recipient

• Lance will attend Oakland University and major in Pre-Medical Studies.
• Micah will attend Michigan State University and major in Pre-Medical Studies.
• Joshua will attend Ohio Northern University and major in Exercise Science and Business. 

Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary Scholarship Requirements

• Graduating in May/June of the current year.
• Proof of acceptance and registration at an accredited University.
• A letter of recommendation from a school counselor or teacher. 
• Minimum GPA 3.0  and submit current school transcript.
• Community Service: at least one project with a school, church, or non-profit; a letter confirming participation and accomplishments on the organization’s letterhead.
• Personal Biography: a summary of the student’s last three years, intended course of study, career plan/interests, and financial need.
