During December 2025, a joint project of the DLS Student Council and the HOSA Club generated $8400 to purchase gifts for children at two local hospitals. 

The Student Council raised the funds through a variety of dress down days, and split the funds with HOSA.

The Student Council delivered their gifts to children at Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor; the HOSA students delivered gifts to Children’s Hospital of Detroit. 

Faculty member Mrs. Mary Balamucki, the HOSA Club Advisor, said, “This was a beautiful reminder of the true spirit of the season at De La Salle Collegiate. What began as an idea became a powerful reminder of what it means to serve others with heart and purpose."

She added, "The leadership, teamwork, and care shown by our students reflects the very best of the De La Salle community. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back and look forward to working alongside the Student Council next year to make this tradition even better.”
