Students Honored by Local Organization 

Congratulations to freshman Christopher Azzi, sophomore Shane Speck, and junior Luke Garner. The three students were recognized at a special ceremony on April 25, at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, for their outstanding accomplishments in the French language and culture. The event is annually sponsored by L’Alliance Francaise de Grosse Pointe. 

The three students were accompanied by Mrs. Adriana Vidican, chair of the DLS Foreign Language Department. She currently teaches approximately 40 students in French I, 2, and 3. 

Although Christopher is only a freshman, he is enrolled in the French Level 2 class along with Shane. Luke is in the Honors French 3 class. 

 In addition to the DLS students, other schools in the area represented at the ceremony including Regina High School, University-Liggett, Grosse Pointe North, and Grosse Pointe South.
