Three De La Salle juniors, accompanied by Campus Minister John Berlin, recently traveled to Buffalo, New York, for a Vocation Summit at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute.
Class of 2023 students included Sam Bickley, Joshua Cichoracki, and Brendan Milligan.
Sponsored by the District of Eastern North America (DENA), the gathering of students from De La Salle, along with students from Pittsburgh Central Catholic and St. Joseph’s, engaged in a robust discussion with adults and peers in searching for God’s will in their lives.
Presenters included speakers on the priesthood, married deacon, brotherhood, and married life.
Berlin said that this is the third time DLS has participated in the Vocation Summit, sponsored by DENA for schools in its “western” area. Previous summits were held in Buffalo and in Pittsburgh.
The group left early Thursday, October 21, and stayed overnight at the University Inn adjacent to the University of Buffalo and St. Joseph’s, before returning to Warren on late Friday afternoon (October 22).
Berlin noted the group stopped for some sightseeing at the American Falls (Niagara Falls) and at the National Basilica of Our Lady of Fatima in Lewiston, NY, just north of Niagara Falls.
