The De La Salle Collegiate Wig and Mask Society (WAMS) is in rehearsals for its December performances of “The One Act Play That Goes Wrong.” 

A comedy that Director Kefin Fitzhenry, 03, describes as “Noises Off” meets “Clue” meets “Monty Python,” the cast of six boys and two girls will present the comic murder mystery the weekend of December 9-11 in the DLS Cafetorium. 

Alumnus Dominic Aldini, ‘12, is the play’s Assistant Director. 

The cast includes seniors William Sariol, Jack Green, Andrew Newton, and Joshua Cichoracki, junior Charles Shick, and sophomore Benjamin Aloia. Sophomore Zoe Niemkiewicz from Troy High School and junior Abbey Weir from Austin Catholic are fulfilling the female roles. 

Fitzhenry says the plot is the “classic murder mystery story.” 

You all know the classic murder mystery story. There has been an untimely death at a country manor, everyone is a suspect, and an inspector is set on the case to find who the culprit is. However, when this play is performed by the accident-prone thespians of The Cornley Drama Society, everything that can go wrong…does! The actors and crew battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences! From Mischief, the creators of the West End smash Peter Pan Goes Wrong, critically acclaimed TV series The Goes Wrong Show, and the Tony-winning Broadway hit The Play That Goes Wrong, this is the original one-act play that started everything going wrong. Over the course of an hour, expect a plethora of disasters from missed lines to falling props. Do you ever find out who murdered Charles Haversham? You’ll have to see for yourself! compelling couple at its center, each with its own touch of sorcery.
