Week After Thanksgiving Will Be Virtual Learning

As COVID-19 cases rise in Michigan and with families gathering at Thanksgiving, De La Salle Collegiate will go virtual for the week of November 30 - December 4. The administration is concerned with the rising number of cases in Michigan and we want to ensure the safety of faculty and students. As we all know, Thanksgiving is a time for families to gather together, and a time to visit friends and relatives that we do not get a chance to see often. To ensure the safety of all concerned, we will take this opportunity to teach virtually and begin the conclusion of the second quarter and preparations for our semester exams.

On Monday, Nov. 30, our teachers will be here in their classrooms teaching virtually. Teachers will meet with each class according to their schedules, a Purple or a Gold day, and students will be expected to log on throughout the day through Google meets in their individual Google classrooms. Attendance will be taken for each class, and students will be marked absent if they are not present for their respective classes.

Our offices will be open from 7:30 am until 3:00 pm, please feel free to call us if you have any questions or concerns. We will be back in person on Monday, Dec. 7! A reminder that Semester Exams begin Monday, Dec. 14! During the exam week, if your son is unable to attend and take his exam, it is imperative that a phone call be made to the main office so that we can schedule an appointment for his exam to be made up.

As a reminder, please continue to monitor the COVID-19 Dashboard on our website for the latest COVID-related news and information from De La Salle.
