Whatever Happened To Mr. Chris Ulewicz

Whatever Happened to… Mr. Chris Ulewicz, DLS Theology Teacher 2006-2017

After retiring from De La Salle Collegiate in 2017, Chris moved to Ann Arbor and dabbled in real estate. But he soon had the itch to teach again, and took a job at Gaylord St. Mary in 2018. In addition to his high school theology teaching, Chris is also a part-time park ranger.

“I really enjoy the beauty of northern Michigan,” he said.

Chris is no stranger to offbeat jobs. For three years he rode the big wheel unicycle at Greenfield Village. “I quit because I was getting a little beat up and too old to do it for much longer!” he said.

Chris earned his undergraduate degree at Madonna, and his master’s at SS Cyril and Methodius Seminary (in Orchard Lake, MI).

He has many good memories from his time at DLS.

“I’d have to say the camaraderie with students and staff, the Kairos retreats, and the great sports teams,” Ulewicz said.

His son Zach, Class of  2008, recently graduated from the Wayne State University Law School.
