Testing Updates
SAT: College Board has canceled the SAT administration scheduled for May 2. Makeup exams for the March 14 administration (scheduled for March 28) are also canceled. Students who already registered for May, whose March test centers were closed, or who did not receive March scores because of any irregularities will receive refunds. In the coming days, College Board will share additional information and details directly with registered students and test centers. Please visit CollegeBoard.org for more information.

ACT: The April 4 national test date has been moved to June 13. All those who have registered for the April 4 test date will receive an email from ACT in the next few days informing them of the postponement and instructions for free rescheduling to the June 13 or a future national test date. To learn more visit ACT.org.

AP TESTS: The AP Program is finalizing streamlined AP Exam options that would allow students to test at home, depending on the situation in May. They are working to give every AP student the opportunity to claim the college credit they’ve earned. The AP Program will communicate the details of these additional solutions to educators and students by March 20. Click here for the latest information from the AP Program.

Best PracticesPlease remember that it is still flu season and the following preventative actions should be taken every day to reduce the spread of any respiratory virus:

  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Remember that handwashing is the strongest way to prevent the spread of disease.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands; germs spread this way.
  • Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze (use your upper sleeve if a tissue is not available).
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

We also encourage all parents and students to monitor the CDC website as it provides the most up-to-date information.
