“Do not let tuition be the reason your son is not at De La Salle, because we won’t!”
Tuition assistance is available from De La Salle. This assistance is funded directly from De La Salle and its supporters. We receive no outside funding from the Archdiocese of Detroit or parishes/institutions. We will allocate the funds in the order the applications were received, verified, and accepted.
De La Salle awarded over $1.8 million in aid to the current student body for this school year.
To apply for the following grants families must:
- Complete the Pilots Assistance Fund Application (PAFA) by clicking here.
- Financial Aid PowerPoint Information for Parents
- Financial Aid Due Dates Handout
- Be a fully-accepted student at De La Salle.
Pilots Assistance Fund Grant
- Available to all accepted De La Salle students with a complete PAFA (see above).
- Grant size determined according to student need.
We encourage all families to explore financial aid opportunities outside of what De La Salle offers. Many local parishes, churches, and nonprofits are eager to help families in need.
There are also programs available through the Archdiocese of Detroit. Click here to apply for tuition assistance from AOD.

SCRIP is a free way to lower the tuition cost to a family. SCRIP is a partnership between non-profit organizations like De La Salle and local and national business that results in real dollars to be used for tuition and financial aid. Beginning the program during a student’s 8th Grade year can result in a tuition credit for Freshman year. Getting started is easy once you have an enrollment code from Sr. Pat Eeckhout in the DLS Business Office.
- Go to shopwithscrip.com
- Create an account and click on Family Sign Up.
- Use the enrollment code and complete five easy steps
- Email the following information to Sr. Pat:
- Your first and last name
- Preferred email address for our communication
- Graduation Year of your student
- Start shopping. Keep it simple at first. Purchase cards for stores that your family uses regularly
SCRIP orders are released when payment is received. You may want to investigate Presto Pay, especially to take advantage of Reloads and ScripNow. You can also enlist the help of family and friends to purchase Scrip cards for your tuition credits.
All proceeds from this program are in the form of tuition credits and are applied once a year. Credits earned in the current school year are available to offset tuition for the next school year.

The Brothers’ Promise guarantees that young men will continue with their De La Salle education, even if the parent or guardian loses the ability to pay tuition due to unforeseen job loss during the tuition paying period (July through April). The Brothers’ Promise provides relief from future tuition payments in the current academic year.
All families are eligible for this program. There is no fee to participate in this. Proper documentation and processing apply.
