Junior Zach Milke broke THREE varsity swim records last weekend at CHSL finals.

Zach first broke Dave Zulkiewski’s (1994) 50 FREE record from 1994 with a 21.90 in a dual meet against Brother Rice in January and lowered his own mark at Catholic Leagues to 21.23. He should lower it even more at states.

Leading off the 400 Freestyle, Zach also broke  Dave’s 100 Freestyle record from 1994. Dave went 47.26 and Zach went 47.21,

Zach also broke All American PJ Desmet’s 100 Backstroke record from 2016, which was 51.45. Zach went 50.88.

Danny Frederick, also a junior, is on the radar to break Ron Yokubison’s 1988 500 Freestyle record at the State meet.  All DLS varsity records.

This is the first year ever that DLS will be represented in all 12 events at the State Meet. This also was the team’s first top 2 finish at leagues since 1972.

Justin Burke is the first Freshmen to ever qualify in Diving for the state meet.

DLS has 16 total going to states, 11  are qualified, and the others are relay alternates.
