Principal Patrick Adams said, “AnnMarie Michol is a reason DLS is so special. She loves her students and expects the very best from them. And, of course, she gets their very best!!! We are blessed to have her.”
Mrs. Michol coached varsity tennis at DLS for several years before joining the Faculty in 1998.
Her teaching responsibilities are in the English Department, and she is also the moderator of the Student Council.
Mrs. Michol was selected as Teacher of the Year for DLS by her DLS colleagues. Mr. Adams then submitted her name to the Catholic League for review.
In presenting the award, Vic Michaels, Director of the CHSL, noted Michol’s dedication to her students, and love of her profession. He said, “Countless students come back each year and say that her class was the one class that prepared them most for college writing.”
