**The class that earns the most points for the entire week, including the chariot race, will earn a future day off from school!!!

Hallway Decorating
The entire hall should incorporate the theme and also incorporate the fall sports!
Day: Thursday, October 1
Time: After school-9:00 p.m.
- Prior planning and gathering of supplies are strongly recommended.
Guidelines:
- All supplies (tape, scissors, paint, etc.) should be brought on Thursday night.
- No supplies other than rolls of paper for all classes will be provided.
- No paint or any substance may be used to directly mark on doors, windows, or walls.
- Please do not use any tape that will take the wood off the doors.
- Any class interfering with another group’s work will be disqualified and will receive zero points for this event.
- No offensive or inappropriate material should be placed in the hallway.
- Point values are doubled!
- Parent and faculty moderators must be present during the hallway decorating to ensure all rules are followed.
- Parents are encouraged to assist.
Judging Criteria: (Points: 50-40-30-20)
- Hallways will be judged Friday morning, October 2, between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
- Judges should appraise how effectively each class represented its overall theme and incorporated the fall sports.
- This year, in order to allow classes to more effectively incorporate fall sports into their themes, each class has been assigned a single fall sport. Those assignments are:
- Freshmen: Football
- Sophomores: Tennis
- Juniors: Soccer
- Seniors: Cross Country
- Classes should have a well-rounded presentation with some unified ideas.
- In other words, simply a large number of decorations should not be given a higher score than a well-conceived and effectively executed, thoughtful presentation. Reward quality over quantity.

Freshman Hallway: Rooms 101-104 Junior Hallway: Rooms 215-218
Sophomore Hallway: Rooms 105-108 Senior Hallway: Rooms 211-214
Chariot Racing (Points: 50-40-30-20)
- The race will be modeled after the traditional Roman chariot races.
- The pulling team of four members will be chosen by the moderators.
- The class moderators will select a person to ride in the chariot.
- The rider must wear a safety helmet.
- The chariot team will line up on the goal line and wait for the start.
- The chariots will race from the goal line and wait for the start.
- The chariots will race from the goal line to the far 20-yard line (80 yards). The entire chariot must cross the 20-yard line.
- The rider must remain in the chariot for the entire race.
- The freshmen and sophomores will race.
- The juniors and seniors will race.
- The winners of the above races will then compete for the championship.

Monday: Lei Sale Hot Dog Cookout, courtesy of the Dad’s Club, during lunch: FREE
Tuesday: Free ice cream in the cafeteria distributed by the Student Council; Food Truck
Wednesday: Student Council Donut Sale: 7-9:00 am; Food Truck

Friday: Spirit Week Pep Assembly
