Establish an Endowment Fund

Endowment funds can be a permanent, self-sustaining source of funding for De La Salle Collegiate students, programs, faculty, and capital needs. Endowment assets are invested and each year, a portion of the value of the fund is paid out to support the fund’s purpose. Any earnings in excess of this distribution are used to build the fund’s market value, giving funds the chance to grow and provide support for its designated purpose in perpetuity.

When you establish an endowment fund at De La Salle Collegiate, endowments can be named for yourself, your family, a friend, favorite teacher, your company; your options are virtually limitless – and most importantly, they provide lasting care for De La Salle students, teachers, programs, and facilities. In addition, you can contribute to the numerous funds that already exist to support various initiatives ranging from tuition assistance and faculty development to program enhancements. Contact the Advancement Department at 586-778-3356 to create a legacy of support for De La Salle.

Brother Robert Carnaghi Endowment FundBrother Robert Carnaghi, FSC, is a St. Joe’s alumnus from the Class of 1948. He took his vows as a Christian Brother in 1949, and spent the next four decades doing the Brothers' work around the world. He was President of De La Salle from 2002 to 2011. This fund was established in Brother Bob’s name in 2011, in recognition of his 60-plus years of service to the Lasallian mission.

Christian Brothers Auxiliary Endowment Fund
Established by the Christian Brothers Auxiliary to honor the history of its membership and service to the mission of the Christian Brothers, this fund perpetually benefits students at De La Salle Collegiate that might not otherwise benefit from a Lasallian Catholic education.

The CBA Endowment is funded by general gifts from the moms club, as well as gifts made in memorial or tribute to individuals or groups that have positively impacted the CBA and De La Salle. A plaque dedicated to the CBA Endowment hangs at De La Salle. A gift of $500 or more to the Endowment, or memorial gifts totaling more than $500, will result in the name of person or group being added to the plaque.

Class of 1963 Endowment Fund
The Class of 1963 is joining together to fund a new Endowed Scholarship Fund at De La Salle Collegiate. Interest generated from the fund will annually benefit a deserving, but financially needy student. The Fund will perpetually provide assistance to such students, and honor the spirit of the generous Class of 1963.

Darryl and Ryan Tsatsos Endowment FundEstablished to honor the memory of brothers Darryl and Ryan Tsatsos, the Darryl and Ryan Tsatsos Endowed Scholarship Fund will perpetually provide for students that otherwise might not enjoy the benefits of a Lasallian Catholic education at De La Salle Collegiate. Each generation of students benefits from the gifts of previous generations.

The Wallace and Joann Ozog Endowment Fund

The Wallace and Joann Endowment Fund will annually benefit a student who has been actively involved with the local Polish Community within the last two years as determined through the De La Salle's established Pilot Application for Financial Aid and the De La Salle Counseling Department. This scholarship will provide support to deserving students annually.
